Account tio hack.
Ok..now this stinks.
I think my blogger account got hacked into and I am not happy about it.
Duh.
So to that person out there who messed with my previous previous post,
try harder to hack now.
The password is ****
OK..now I am being lame.
>>>
The issue at hand now is a bit close to heart.
I believe many of you have been told of this by someone at some place at some time.
I too.
"Eh.I envy you leh. You so...".
In order to not make this entry sound like Chicken Soup from the soul,
I am going to use a bit more of Singlish to the best possible way.
Now.
I have been told by many of my friends, especially Wen Xiong that they
envy my life.
Yeah right.
This is why:
1. I am an only child= I get everything I want.
2.When I go home, there is no one else.
3.My parents don't breathe down my neck because of the red doodles in my report card.
4.I am able to get satisfactory scores (just passing la) in exams while others
just flop.
Now.
Here is my take of the story.
1. I am an only child= I get everything I want.
OK.
Halt!
I think it's time for people out there with siblings to have a change in thinking.
Being the only child doesn't necessarily mean that you get everything.
Especially being a Chinese and a Singaporean
Look, I don't get everything I want and that's that.
It is true that a kid who has no brothers or sisters gets more love and pampering
from his parents.
I don't disagree with that.
But, do you realize that there is a flip side?
You get twice of the good.
And yes, you get twice of the bad.
Tell you something.
I have two no three very close cousins.
Let's name them X, Y and Z.
Z is out of the picture because he is the youngest and yes, when X and I were getting
whipped the daylights out of us by our parents, he was still somewhere else.
God knows where.
X is a single child.
Y was at that time a single child as well.
The difference is..
X is from an average income family.
Y is just filthy rich.
OK.
Whenever Y got in trouble, like when he doesn't do his homework or flunked his
tests or something, his punishment would be:
1. A talk with the parents.
2.A talk with the parents.
3. A talk with the parents.
Now when X got into trouble, see cause above, this would be his punishments:
1.Get whipped.
2.Get whipped.
3.Get whipped.
And mind you, the cane (!!) used was not just 1. Ok, the word should be canes.
The parents would like tie up two or three together (combo set), and just >whiP< Ouch.
That's X life. He was from a single child family.
I too was. I got whipped too. I got slapped too.
But thankfully, the word is cane, not canes.
So you see, it does not necessarily mean that just beacause you are the only offspring in your family, you get VVIP treatment.
There are many factors involved as well. Like, how loaded your parents
are, their views in beating the crap out of their kids..blah blah blah.
2.When I go home, there is no one else.
OK, now this is shallow.
Many of you will be thinking "Good woah. Can play com, surf net, surf porn, watch Tv..
Ya. All that.
But what if you get sick?
What if you get sick and have to buy food yourself?
What if what if what if. I am not saying that I am a hum or what.
I know it will only be due time before we go to those HDB thingys and
queue like hell to get our flats. Those who want buy condo siam aside. -.-''
Yes, that time will come. But as a teen, we want everything to be instant.
I too you know.
So, you see, coming home to an empty, lonely, lifeless flat
isn't such a nice thing afterall.
Points 3 and 4 are connected.
OK. Here's my take.
If you envy me and want to emulate me to enjoy these 2 priveleges (damn the word),
do this:
1. Study 1 chapter ahead for chem, bio and physics (even if you know that it's inevitable that you are going to flunk physics).
2. Memorize facts and recall them whenever you have free time not before exam then cheong
3.Read on the bus and stop staring at the chio bu across the street.
4. Bug your teacher as much as possible until they try to avoid you.
5.Pon ten CCA and get as many MCs as possible, headache also go take.
6.Don't just by TYS, must buy at least 2 more assessment books for each subject.
The list goes on.
Still want to be me? Think again. Haha..this sounds like that
Police Poster about trying to get past death.
Ok..Not funny. Get serious. My point here is.
Stop envying others for what they have and instead appreciate what you have can or not. Don't compare and contrast, be content and happy.
Yes.
Be happy. Only then will things go well.
Good day.
Cheers.
