I'm officially a soundaholic (and I think I maybe posting again)
I think it's really a gradual affair. I find myself more and more attached to my precious iPod. I listen to songs almost the whole day that my Dad complained that he has to shout to get his ideas across. I can't help it. I just love music. Is that a crime?
So, like all addicts, or rather the smarter ones, I am trying to kick the habit. I find myself unable to concentrate in school because...Ta-dah! I don't have my iPod plugged in.
I move around uneasily in my seat during Mathematics because I don't hear Lostprophets.
I dream during Physics because I don't hear Cao Ge's voice.
I gawk at Chemical equations because I miss AAR.
It's stupid and frustrating.
And now, I'm just wishing that perhaps, this year, the O level will allow candidates to bring in their electronic equipments. Other than the stupid calculator of course.
Otherwise, I will have to resort to other means to gain rhythm. Like tapping my feet, or swirling my pen around and then fake drumming with them. This will no doubt draw a lot of cuss and swears from the others...But I just need a medium to move with the beat.
I think I'm going crazy.
Anyway, I was glancing through the papers yesterday. It appears that it's no only the students who are pissed with the tightly packed O level Schedule. Parents are voicing their concerns as well. But here's a news flash. The MOE people are not going to give a damn now that the calender is marked and the tickets are booked. Unless of course people take drastic actions. Like instead of going for the exams that day, they will be gallivanting the streets of Orchard and Bishan. They will be munching down Mos Burgers instead of gnawing their pens when they encounter a fuckingly difficult mathematical question. I will swear usually and then chuck my Techmatic forcefully into my pencil case and start staring. So if my eyes so happen to be fixated on yours, don't be surprised. I am not gay.
I got a new earphone yesterday. Mum got it as I had something urgent on. Damn. So busy busy busy busy.
Maybe I should write into the Forum as well. Requesting that they allow candidates to bring in their personal items. Hey! The GCE papers are marked in UK afterall right? The place where Big Ben chimes and Mr.Bean risks the life of another innocent civilian with his Classic Cooper. By the way. If Mr. Bean could bring in the Pink Panther why not me with the iPod? If they think I am going to cheat with it, I will be glad to let them listen to all of my songs. There are only 1500 plus. Happy listening!
