The final straw.

Alright, apparently, I have to resort using the class' Mac to make an entry. Reason being? I honestly don't know. I have been missing for the past 2-3 weeks if you haven't noticed. Or have you been studying as well? Oh, come on, ,everyone has been.
I just finished my HMT Prelim Paper. To shrug it off as a walk in the park would seriously mean that I have screwed up, chopped and sealed the paper. So let me give you a briefing on how confident I am about this Prelim.
English: You might think that I may ace this one. But I think I can, at the most, score a 18. The feeling sucks even more when the inspiration hits you after you have written 2 full pages of the essay. I did "Noise". Initially, I was thinking of writing about a deaf person's desire to hear. But since the topic was on "Noise" and a deaf person will generally prefer to listen to the canaries chirping rather than an air craft taking off (that's noise), then the topic that I should be writing about should be "Listening" or "Sound". So, ya. I settled on generalizing the entire topic. Just to tell you, I did a generalized topic on "Faith" last year and failed miserably. I wrote on religions and its affect to our livihood. Essentially, the marker thought otherwise about the entire essay. Damn it.
Higher Chinese: My written essay is once again very subjectal. Hence, I can either score very high, which I wish I could, or I could drop into a bottomless well and drown to death. The topic? Whether us Singaporeans were indeed happy. What kind of weirdoes are our teachers??! The Comprehension was a killer. Everyone walked out of the hall cussing the paper. The summary is that tough.
Physics: It was a direct exact replica of last year's Common Test which I convinently lost it. So the same darn parallel circuit came out and I wrote out the same irrational answer. I hope I hope I hope to at the very least score a B3. High hopes for a lofty person in Physics.
Chemistry: If you actually went online during the past few days, I typed this in" I want to ace chemistry". After scoring a 24/30 for Electrolysis, I was hoping for like a 80 for my chemistry. Yes, you might gawk and gawk and gawk some more at that mark, but I really did study and I really hoped to score. But the last time I checked, I have already lost 10-15 marks. It's an omen.
Biology: Firstly, let me first say how pissed I was when I got the paper. How angry, how frustrated, how annoyed as to how those questions were structured. They were mean cookies. Not the least bit simply. 30% factual 70% tear your hair out. Target score: B3-A2. I studied ok?
E Math: No comments. It has to be an A1.
A Math: I finished the paper in 1 hour. Way way way ahead of the precedented 2 hours. So I flipped through the paper and checked it once; meaning I redid the questions. Ar...Maybe I missed out a question or two. No, definitely that didn't happen. It has to be, likewise with E Math, an A1.
Social Studies and Geography: I just realized that I am actually getting interested with Social Studies. Albeit my wrist felt like twisting off after the mad writting process. Geography? They should rename it to "Current Affairs". They talked of sand, the ageing population. All the kind of nonsense political parties talk about during election. And of course, except the GST.

The post is getting rather mundane. Some of the other HMT people are playing monoplay in class, using the calculator as a die. How the hell they do that I don't know.
I am signing off here.
I'll be celebrating Mother's Day later with Mum and her Mum at Hollland V at 2. Lunch at Sushi Teh. Ha, I am so gonna exploit her this time around. xD

I haven't gotten any khaki to watch Spiderman 3 with me yet. Anyone interested? Gosh, i sound like a hooker. No, I am not going to pay for your ticket.
For the account, if I beat Julian this Prelim, I will treat him lunch. But frankly, I would rather treat him this lunch after I get the O level certificate. Not by the longshot. For now.

this used to be a funhouse. But now it’s full of evil clowns.
