I think that it's pretty much human nature to be pure lazy or indolent for that matter. The Prelims have only ended about 3 days ago. And what have I been doing? For starters, I slept like I never had. For the past 3 days, I have been clocking in at least 10 hours of shut-eye. But I think this sudden "tiredness" could be justified since I have been sleeping for 5 hours during the Prelims. They should might as well rename it as a Massacre- it is before, during and even after the paper. Don't you agree?
So I made a pact with my conscious. I told myself that after, at the most, 2 full days of rest, I will get my ass down to work. I did, for only 1-2 hours on Sunday before I proceeded to thrash Chelsea 5-2 in Fifa. So I ended my day winning all three competitions. Monday, today, was pretty much slack. I woke up at 9.40am and watched the tele till hunger got the better of me. I went to the market with my hair in an utter mess and paid for my lunch; wolfed it down and headed home where I watched yet even more tele.
So, you might ask, did I do anything productive today? The closet thing to words that I did touch was the Comics Section in today's Life! I didn't even bother to flip to the Review Section in the main articles because I was getting a bit sick and tired of those suicide bombings, religions, spies, stupid fossil fuel problems etc etc etc. I swear that when I grow up, I will never ever be a journalist. These people just make simple things look so complicated. And why do they do that? I, sure as hell, want to know. But I am pretty sure it's not just for the dough.
I don't know about you guys, my conscious is acting up now. I am sort of wishing myself to be the Great Merlin or someone that could fire impulses out of their fingertips- I want to turn back time. I wish that it was 8AM now. So that I could do some Physics, a little Chemistry and try not to get infuriated with Biology. I managed to finish the Differentiation for Trigo on Sunday morning- at 2am. I did it surprisingly fast, 1.2 hours for 6 exercises? Now I got to work on my precision and not just my pace.
We will be getting back the papers tomorrow. Just for the account, I am not giving a hoot about Geography. Put it this way. FUCK IT. I hate geography and that's that. I adore Social Studies more. Why? Because in SS, I don't need to know why this mountain is so and so and that cliff is this and that and blah blah blah blah. The highest elevation you can find in Singapore is Bukit Timah or is it Mt. Faber? I don't know. Unless I am living in Africa and up in the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro then perhaps I need to learn why a mountain has to be at least 600m to be considered as one.
I doubt that I'd be sleeping early tonight. I just woke up after a 3 hour nap. So, do the e.math and I have clocked in 12 hours of sleep today! Ah, I think I should thank my lucky stars while they still twinkle. Cause I might be using this pool of reserve when the big O comes marching into my life in October. Yea, I might sure as hell be needing this sleep.
