Retro. It's all coming back.
Am I a poser? I am not too sure myself. But I do know something, dressing up runs in the family.
In the name of boredom and utter despair to do something, if not everything, I asked Mum if she had any photos of her and Dad in the 80s'. And boy, was I wrong about everything.
Dad wasn't as boring as I had thought he to be.
For example, he was not as tight-fisted as he is now. Dad got that sort of Sony Walkman. The forefather of all mp3s; Creative, Apple, iRiver. And damn it was huge. If I were to make a rough estimate, it would be half the size of an exercise book. That my friend is big. And he attached it to his belt. Like, if you jump, wouldn't all that weight pull your pants down? I also noticed that Dad liked stripes and checkered shirts. These designs pretty much make up my wardrobe these days; I think I can attribute my trips to Topman to Dad then.
I suppose time dilutes the affection between couples. From those pictures, Mum and Dad were very close. I mean very. I hardly see them being so these days. Perhaps they do not behave as such in front of me; but subtle body languages...I don't see those either.
I woke up early this morning and went to Geyland Bahru with my Mum to do grocery shopping. Before that she and I both went to the swimming complex so that I can search for a swimming coach. The man, in his late forties, look really fit but I don't feel comfortable around with him. The atmosphere around him is....I don't know how to describe. Just, uncomfortable. But that aside, I think the more pressing matter is for me to swim and I think I will push that aside till later. Lessons will start on the first Sunday of December. Hmm, this means that my December would be rather pack. With the Japanese lessons, and the swimming sessions and morning Saturday trips to East Coast. Whoa. Exercise for the brain and body. Ha. But one thing is for sure, I would be getting rings around my eyes in 2008. Gah.
After that, the day was contributed to pretty much drifting and shooting in Carbon and Halo. I am getting bored of the games. Just for fun, in Carbon, I have managed to obtain 4 rides thanks to careful money management. I used to have 7 but sold the three due to their limitations.
I had:
Mazda RX 8
Mazda RX 7
Dodge- Cannot remember which model.
Now I have:
Lamborghini Gallardo.
Ford GT- Managed to hit 346km/h with this baby.
Aston Martin- the one in Bond's Die Another Day.
Nissan Skyline GT-R or the R32.
Pity is, I don't have enough dough or skill to manage the Murcielago or the Audi Le Manns Quattro. Those two are the best. I wonder if I could afford them when I am an adult..Nah. I would just stick to Volvo and Mercedes; the buses.
